POWER Workshop

Precision Oncology With Endovascular Regimens

The Precision Oncology with Endovascular Regimens (POWER) Workshop is an exclusive, one-day immersive educational experience designed for practicing interventional oncologists. Hosted by the Society of Interventional Oncology in an intimate setting at Penn Medicine, POWER brings together a carefully selected group of physicians for focused learning, hands-on training, and high-value peer exchange.

The workshop integrates concise, expert-led didactic sessions with interactive case discussions and practical training to bridge the gap between diagnosis and optimized endovascular locoregional therapy. POWER emphasizes the real-world application of precision oncology principles, such as linking imaging, molecular data, and clinical insights to therapeutic decision making across multidisciplinary cancer care teams.

Dates: 17 October 2026

Location: Kim Lab for Innovation, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania

Applications opening in spring 2026! Details coming soon.

Why POWER Matters:

Advances in precision oncology have rapidly expanded diagnostic and systemic treatment options, yet interventional oncology has lacked consistent frameworks to translate these insights into optimized endovascular therapies. This gap contributes to variability in treatment selection, challenges integration with combination regimens, and limits interventional oncology’s influence within multidisciplinary care models.

The POWER Workshop directly addresses this unmet scientific and practice need by delivering immersive, practice-focused education that equips physicians with actionable strategies to align diagnosis with targeted, patient-specific endovascular interventions.

Scholarship Award:

Availability is limited for this unique educational experience. All applicants will be reviewed through a rigorous selection process led by the course directors and a reviewer panel.

Invited learners will receive:

  • Complimentary POWER Workshop registration
  • Complimentary one-night stay in the SIO hotel room block

Learning Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Apply precision oncology principles to endovascular treatment planning
  • Integrate emerging minimally invasive and combination therapies into clinical practice
  • Translate diagnostic imaging and molecular data into actionable therapeutic pathways
  • Strengthen multidisciplinary communication and decision-making
  • Explore the future role of interventional oncology in comprehensive cancer care

Who Should Attend:

The POWER Workshop is designed for attending-level interventional oncologists, including:

  • Clinicians seeking to balance expertise across diagnostic and therapeutic technologies
  • Physicians navigating rapidly evolving precision and combination oncology paradigms
  • Tumor board participants looking to strengthen advocacy for endovascular approaches
  • Community-based or non-academic practitioners seeking advanced, hands-on exposure
  • Early-, mid-, and late-career providers focused on practice evolution and leadership

POWER is more than a workshop — it is a strategic platform advancing precision oncology, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the evolving role of interventional oncology in cancer care.
