Purpose:
To provide a forum and increase membership in the medical student and resident population of the Society of Interventional Oncology. This section will provide resources for professional development, engagement, and a leadership pathway within the society.
Annual Charge:
The purpose and goal of the SIO RMSS Section is to increase resident and medical student membership within SIO, provide resources for the professional development, and assist residents and fellows in their transition from trainees to young practicing IR physicians practicing and specializing in IO treatments.
Responsibilities:
Expand membership to medical students and residents interested in the interventional oncology field around the world. Evaluate the needs of these professionals and develop strategies for recruitment through the utilization of new association resources. Collaborate with other Committees and the Board of Directors to establish criteria for resource development.
