IO Central Chair Introduction

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Louis Hinshaw and I am Chief of the Section of Abdominal Imaging and Intervention at the University of Wisconsin.  I recently took over as the Chair of IO Central and I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to you, the members of WCIO, and identify your needs and desires for our website.  It is already a robust site with lots of information regarding upcoming meetings, and developments in the exciting and evolving field of IO, but we will be making some changes and I want to ensure that future efforts are aligned with the wishes of those who will be using the website.  Please send me your feedback and requests.

My vision for the future of IO is that we develop ways of “right sizing” our treatments for our patients.  Many of us get too focused on our silos of expertise and apply “our” treatment even if it may not be the best treatment for that individual patient.  If we are going to be as valuable as we can be, we have to be more willing to apply the right treatment to the right patient at the right time.

Please feel free to contact me with any issues or questions and have a great day. Click here to send me an email.
